A number of customers have repurposed the unscheduled sidebar in DayBack as a waitlist. Schedulers can drag eligible appointments from the sidebar into their schedule when there are cancellations.
If you’re handy with FileMaker scripting, you can make a pretty slick waitlist without our help. But SeedCode’s Michael Dabrowski has put together an example to show you what it can look like with some JavaScript custom actions to make it really smooth:

He’s also using the sidebar for regular unscheduled appointments. In this case, showing appointments for a treatment plan that were created from a template but not yet scheduled.
Templates are a great way to let your users quickly create a series of related appointments without needing to make all the events by hand. Michael’s example lets users modify the templates on the fly before applying them to the current patient or saving them as a new template. Template records themselves are stored in a new table in FileMaker (or a new object in Salesforce).

Both examples can be customized for your requirements and added to your DayBack as part of an implementation package. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss how this could make an impact for your team; we’re here to help.
